Dar Tanja 

Located away from the bustle of the city, Dar Tanja is a charming first category guesthouse, ideal starting point to discover Tangier, admire breathtaking views of the Strait, and take day-trips in the neighboring countryside to enjoy the places of interest.

Combining modernity and tradition, the Dar Tanja guesthouse is organized into bright spaces, facing the pool and the garden. The interior decoration, which is inspired by Moroccan tradition, tries to highlight the richness and diversity of local know-how, and offers to the visitor a warm atmosphere: zellijes and tadellakt, zouaks and carved wood, embroidered fabrics and handmade weavings, rugs with Berber patterns…

Haven of peace in the midst of lush garden planted with Mediterranean trees and organized with terraces inviting you to enjoy the douceur de vivre à la Tangier.

Accommodation

Dar Tanja guesthouse offers 7 suites and 2 cozy bedrooms, opening for some onto private terraces. The bedroom located on the ground floor, was designed to receive a person with reduced mobility, in comfortable conditions.

The rooms and suites feature all the amenities for a luxury stay: premium beds, independent bathroom, wifi, TV. Besides, everything has been designed in order to ensure the best comfort: centralized heating and air conditioning, detectors, safety…

Nekor, Tamuda, Ksar Majaz, Bades … These are the names chosen for the suites and rooms, representing as many invitations to discover landmarks regions of northern Morocco, that deserve to be known.

 Nekor Room

Large suite with private terrace

In ocher tones, evoking the color of the sand from the Rif valley, the large master suite, located on the 1st floor, opens onto a private terrace with views to the neighboring golf. The suite also has a large bathroom equipped with a double Jacuzzi (hot tub). The Nekor suite, which is ideal for a family or for a long and relaxing stay, can accommodate up to 4 people with its king size bed and its corner seat.

Tamuda Room

The ivory walls highlight the simple and natural style given to this charming room. It has views onto the golf and it comes furnished with two beds 1mx2m (possibility to join them) and a comfortable sofa. The suite can accommodate 2/3 people. The tadelakdt bathroom is equipped with a shower.

Ksar Mazaj Room

The Most Moroccan suite

Elegant and sober thanks to the soft tones of the walls inspired by the wall of Ksar Mazaj, this suite opens onto a private terrace. Designed for 2/3 people, the suite is equipped with 2 beds 1mx2m (possibility to join them) and a comfortable sofa. The bathroom is equipped with a shower.

Sidi Mghaite Suite

A bright suite with a private terrace

Bright and full of charm, the Sidi Mghaite suite can accommodate 2/3 persons: 2 1mx2m beds (possibility to join them) and a comfortable sofa. The bathroom comes with a tub. The suite opens on to a large private terrace.

Adouz ROom

Warm and lovely, the room Adouz has beautiful views on the golf course and has a tadelakdt bathroom with a bathtub. This room for 2/3 people, has two beds (1,8mx2m) and a comfortable sofa.

Lixus Room

Located on the ground floor, the Lixus suite enjoys views of the pool and the garden from its private terrace. This suite for 2/3 people, has a double bed (1,8mx2m) and a comfortable sofa. The bathroom is in tadelakt, with a bathtub.

Rmilat Room

Located on the ground floor, Rmilat suite comes in warm and soft colors. It has a private terrace that overlooks the pool and the garden. This suite has a king size bed (1,8mx2m) and a comfortable sofa. The bathroom in tadelakt comes with an italian shower.

Bades Room

The Bades room could be summed up by the words: authenticity and simplicity. The room opens onto a private terrace overlooking the garden. It is designed for up to 2 people, has 1 double bed and a bathroom with an Italian shower.

Cala Iris Room

Lovely and easy to access

Located on the ground floor and easy to access from the living room and the garden, the Cala Iris room comes in soft colors. This beautiful room for 1 or 2 people, has a double bed and a spacious bathroom with shower.

Facilities

At Dar Tanja, every day begins with a delicious breakfast in the traditional lounge Fes. This refined Moroccan living room is the centerpiece of the local lifestyle.

Note that in case of good weather, meals can be taken by the poolside.

The Chaouen lounge is the place to meet and chat near the bar in a friendly atmosphere, or by the fireplace on a chilly evening.

The Tanja lounge, with delicately hand-painted wood paneling (typical of the city), is located further away and is open onto the swimming pool. It is the ideal place to go sit back and relax at any given time of the day, sipping a glass of hot mint-tea.

Outside, by the pool and in the garden, several corners and terraces invite to idleness.

Staying at Dar Tanja also allows you to experience the ancient tradition of the hammam. Let yourself go through the old rituals – scrub, wrap – practiced with natural products, for a special moment of many virtues.

The fitness area, located on the ground floor, has equipment to be used according to your will: bike, cardio trainer are available.
